Product Testing: Finding Winter Team

In November I was accepted into the Mountain Hardwear #findingwinter ambassador program for Canada. I spent this winter testing the products and loving every minute of it! Here is my review on some of the items! Check out http://www.mountainhardwear.com for more products!

I love being outside. I love the way it smells, the colours and the memories I take back with me. When I’m outside I also like to be prepared. I am a gear junkie and spend a lot of time researching items before I purchase them. Living in Squamish I need to have a pretty diverse “recreation wardrobe”. I need proper clothing for climbing, biking, hiking, skiing, and surviving the rainy period.

I am ecstatic to be on the Mountain Hardwear Canadian team! Not only was I overwhelmed with the items they sent me but also the quality of the products.

One of my favourite pieces is the Scrambler™ 30L. It is the perfect climbing and light ski pack! It is extremely waterproof and durable – probably one of the best light packs I have ever had. It has a bladder compartment, rope strap, ice pick/pole straps, deep side pockets and many other awesome features! See specs and details at:

I was also given a Women’s Seraction Jacket™. The first thing I thought when I pulled the jacket out was: “SO SOFFFFTTTT!!”. I was curious how the fabric would hold up in rain with such smooth material. The Dry.Q™ Elite waterproof technology, to my surprise, has been fantastic! Despite not having pit zips for ventilation it is very breathable and comfortable. The perfect fall climbing jacket or backcountry touring companion. See specs and details here:

The last item I received for testing is the Women’s Ghost Whisperer™ Down Hooded Jacket. I love the way the jacket fits – it hugs all the right places and the arms have a sleek look. It is slimming along the sides but has room in front in case you want to add another light layer. I wear this jacket for pretty much every activity! So far I love to layer it with the Seraction Jacket for backcountry skiing and use it alone while climbing.” See specs and details here:

I was also given the new Laminina Z SPARK sleeping bag! I took the bag on a surf trip and loved it! See more here:
